Head Contractor: Downer

The first Pedestrian Outlook was the largest of the lookouts and also had a corten steel buttress wall attached. The transitions from the outlook to the wall were modeled in our Solid Works 3D CAD system to ensure accuracy.

This project won the design Consultants a national Te Kahui Whaihanga NZ Institute of Architects award.

The outlook was made from imported 20mm and 30mm weathering Steel.

After fitting the Corten Steel Buttress wall around the rocky outcrops a Galvanised and painted handrail was fitted.

The second Pedestrian Outlook was smaller in size but still used the20mm and 30mm imported weather steel. Again the corten transitions from the outlook to the wall were modeled in our Solid Works 3D CAD system to ensure accuracy.
