The Amoeba Sculpture

Head Contractor: ECC

As the sculpture is 3.9M long we had to make it so it could be transported in four sections, The “curtain rail “ also had to match the sections in shape and size.

The steel work was powder primed and top coated.

Anita from ECC contacted DUCARE about a Light sculpture.

She had a plan and scope of works but was having trouble getting the steel work even close to budget.

After a chat, DUCARE Loaded in the Drawing Files ECC had and changed the material size and thought laterally around the way we could manufacture the sculpture.

Instead of traditional fabrication methods we looked at all parts being CNC machine cut, The location of the lights was the key in getting the desired visual results from the sculpture.
